Can you believe it’s 2020?! While I definitely have resolutions to lose weight, travel more, and spend more time with my friends and family, I have also resolved to make more “me time” to relax and craft. For me, crafting, especially tedious projects, is stress-relieving. Therefore in 2020, I want to make time each day — whether setting aside just a couple minutes to whip up a DIY hand scrub or spending an afternoon making a new wreath for my front door — to express myself creatively.
Here are 3 of the projects that I have on my “crafting” bucket list for this year:
1. Paper Flower Wreath
The only way for me to describe this wreath is “unforgettable.” I love the attention to detail that this project requires and love that it is a paper craft.
2. Monogram Resin Keychain
Working with resin is something I’ve had on my radar for a while. However, I know there are quite a few kinds and always needed to do some additional research before getting started with it! There’s no time like the present to do so — the first resin project I’m hoping to do is an initial keychain for my work bag.
3. Teacup Candle
This past Christmas I gifted my mother a soy candle in a teacup. My mom is an avid collector of unique and vintage teacups, so I’ve always held an interest in them. Furthermore, I am always using a wax warmer, candle or essential oils to keep my home smelling beautiful. As I become more aware of ingredients of these fragrance products, I would love to make my own candles to know exactly what is going into them and thus what is going into the air my family and I breathe when we use them.
